These Hills Beer Festival (15-16 June 2024)
To all These Hills ticket holders, brewers, bar staff, volunteers, food vendors, sponsors and musicians: thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support, patience and overwhelming positivity. Cancelling this year’s event was the hardest decision we’ve ever had to make. Each year is the culmination of 12 months of planning and around £100k of costs for an event that just about breaks even. More still, producers and customers had travelled from as far away as New York and Australia to be with us. Sadly, it was just far too dangerous to go ahead; moments after the decision to cancel the festival was made, incredibly strong gusts of wind (far greater than forecasted) knocked down our main marquee and severely damaged the tents housing our food vendors. People could have been seriously hurt. All ticket-holders will be refunded in full but in the meantime, we wanted to let you know that we’ll be forever grateful to those who forged ahead with the good times anyway, especially our amazing bar team who put in a Herculean effort down at the taproom. A big thank you also to the hundreds of people who have been in touch with messages of support – it’s a true testament to the awesomeness of the craft beer community.
