How do I get to These Hills?
As you may already be aware, Industrial Action from railway staff will affect train journeys pretty much the whole of the week, specifically on Tuesday, the 21st, Thursday, the 23rd and Saturday, the 25th.

Although Southern Rail, who operate trains to and from Lewes, is one of the services not taking part in the action, services will be severely curtailed or limited, with no trains running to or from Lewes on those strike dates, and trains outside of these dates will likely be busy.

That said, Southern Rail *will* be operating trains to Brighton, and there are buses available which you can take to get to Lewes in 30 minutes from Brighton. The 28, 29 and 29X will all take you to Lewes from St Peter’s Church, which is a short walk down the hill from the train station. You can pay via contactless on the bus (you may need to tap in/tap out) or you can download the app from Brighton & Hove Buses.

The closest bus stop to the Party Field venue is Lewes High Street, and it’s a 26 min walk downhill, or you can call a taxi service. We recommend GM taxis - 01273 477567. Uber does not operate in Lewes.

Additionally, there will be no Gatwick Express service on the strike dates above, and an amended Gatwick Express Sunday service will run on Wednesday, the 22nd, Friday, the 24th and Sunday, the 26th with no services before 7:15am.

We encourage everyone to give themselves plenty of time to travel into and out of Lewes. More information can be found on these links, and we encourage you to review these links for any further updated info:

If you have a designated driver who can drive to and from These Hills, the Mountfield Road Car Park is the nearest car park to These Hills, with the Pinwell Road Car Park also not being too far. Both car parks have an 8 hour maximum stay, and you can find out more about them on the Lewes and Eastbourne Councils website.

Can I get a refund on my tickets due to the strikes?
Unfortunately, we cannot refund tickets due to the strike action, but through the means listed above, we hope you can still come to Lewes to enjoy our festival.

I’m in Lewes! How do I get to the festival?
Here are some pertinent walking directions on how to get to the venue:

From the Beak Brewery + Taproom to The Party Field
From Lewes Train Station to The Party Field
From Lewes High Street Bus Stop to The Party Field

Once you get to the festival, please note that no vehicles will be allowed on the festival site with exception for those attendees with mobility restrictions.

Please have your ticket QR codes ready once you arrive at the festival. You are welcome to print your tickets out, or have it on your smartphone available.

The festival will be operating a token-based system, and you can purchase tokens at the start and throughout the festival from our take-away stall, located at the very front of the site. Please note that you can only purchase tokens via card payments only.

Those of you attending Saturday’s day session can take advantage of the shuttle bus that will be running to the Beak Brewery + Taproom. The collection point will be the Southdown Sports Club (a 10 minute walk from the festival site). There will be two minibuses in operation and they will each make three trips between the venue and taproom on a first-come-first-served basis, so if you'd like a free ride please look out for the shuttle bus sign and join the queue for services from 4:30pm.

How do I buy beer?
The festival will operate a token system for attendees to use to purchase beer. You can buy tokens at the Token Tent near the entrance of the festival. Tokens can be purchased by card or contactless payments only–we cannot take cash payments on site.

Beers will be sold in ½ pints and 1/3 pint measures. We have glass rinsing facilities available onsite.

What food will there be at These HIlls?
We will have three food operators at These Hills:
• Caccia & Tails - Italian street food including mac n’ cheese and loaded fries

• The Two Fridas - Vegan Mexican street food

• Original Patty Men - Burger slingers of dreams

In addition to the fully vegan offerings from The Two Fridas, the Original Patty Men and Caccia & Tails will offer vegetarian options as well.

Food can be purchased by card or contactless payments.

Are there any non-alcoholic options?
In addition to the 35 breweries, meaderies, cider producers and wine producers we have at the festival, we will also have non-alcoholic options in the form of Lucky Saint and soft drinks. There will be a Lucky Saint Bar alongside the rest of the breweries, and soft drinks will be sold at the take-away stall.
